Brian Tuskan, Senior Director of Technology & Investigations oversees global strategic development, integration and growth for Security Technology, Investigations, and Communications for the Microsoft Global Security team.
Brian leads the physical security technology and consulting team on design, development, and integration of security solutions for Microsoft worldwide. He directs the Global Investigations team on enterprise threat management, workplace violence mitigation, and asset protection. In addition, Brian oversees all internal and external security communications for Microsoft’s Global Security.
He is a productivity specialist and frequently presents on how Microsoft technologies deliver comprehensive and cost-effective solutions on a global scale. Brian serves as public safety liaison for executive staff, law enforcement, public safety organizations, and government agencies. He also leads Microsoft Global Security’s Public Private Partnership Initiative.
With 13 years of service at Microsoft, Brian has led other Global Security teams, including Global Security Operations, Event Security, Retail Security and the build-out and implementation of the three Global Security Operations Centers located in the US, UK, and India.
Brian joined Microsoft in 2000, after serving more than 12 years in law enforcement with the City of Redmond Police (Washington) and the Honolulu Police Department. During his distinguished law enforcement career he served as a metropolitan police officer, patrol, SWAT tactical team member, undercover narcotics detective, major crimes detective, and officer-in-charge.
He is a graduate of the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business Executive Development Program, has a Leadership Certificate from Georgetown University (ISMA Leadership Program), and has a Criminal Justice degree from Wayland Baptist University. He served as a member of the ASIS Leadership & Management Practices Council and ITT Technical Institute’s Program Advisory Committee.
