Brian Armstrong

Hi, I’m Brian! As I moved through life, I've found that my experiences with religion, marriage, parenthood, and career are not unique. Perhaps what I perceived as problems or mistakes - as well as successes and accomplishments - could be used to encourage and help others! This led me to the School of Faith's training for Spiritual Mentors (https://schooloffaith.com/spiritual-mentorship).

I describe Spiritual Mentoring as accompanying another on their journey through life: it's about providing a relationship where doubts, feelings, and challenges can be shared; about having someone who can listen, help with discernament, and offer guidance; about holding you accountable to your goals; and about reminding you that God is in control. I've been mentoring others since I completed the Spiritual Mentorship Program in 2021, and I continue learning and practicing through an ongoing relationship with my spriritual director.

I live in Shawnee, Kansas, and have a technical background. I am deeply involved in my Catholic faith, enjoy motorcycles, like learning about anything, think kids are awesome, and mix humor with seriousness. I am remarried and have 3 grown children and one younger.
