Brian L. Bromberg is the owner of the BrombergLaw Office, P.C. in New York City. Mr. Bromberg is admitted to practice law inNew York and California. He graduated from Oberlin College, with a B.A. inPhilosophy in 1987, and earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1991. Mr.Bromberg is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association ofConsumer Advocates (NACA), and is an active member of the Association of theBar of the City of New York (having served on the Consumer Affairs and Civil CourtsCommittees), and many other professional organizations. He has lecturedattorney groups and the public on consumer-law issues, and helped revise NACA’sClass Action Guidelines. Since 1999, Mr. Bromberg has concentrated his practiceon consumer-protection litigation, including violations of the Fair DebtCollection practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), theEqual Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the HomeOwnership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA), the Fair Labor Standards Act(FLSA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and various state andfederal unfair and deceptive acts and practices statutes. Mr. Bromberg hasprosecuted numerous consumer-protection and fraud cases against debt-collectors,banks, credit-card companies, and automobile dealers. He has filed cases bothindividually and on a class basis, and has been appointed class counsel bystate and federal courts across the country. Notable FDCPA appellate-courtcases include Easterling v. Collecto,Inc., 692 F.3d 229 (2d Cir. 2012); Hessv. Cohen & Slamowitz LLP, 637 F.3d 117 (2d Cir. 2011); Miller v. Wolpoff & Abramson, L.L.P.,321 F.3d 292 (2d Cir. 2003).
