I'm Assistant Research Professor of Digital Humanities at Brigham Young University. I teach classes in our Digital Humanities and Technology minor, develop and manage digital research projects, and consult on the integration of technology and pedagogy. I always practice when I teach.

I'm also a founding writer at ProfHacker, a group blog about technology, pedagogy, and productivity in higher education. I'm a cluster editor at #alt-academy. I organized a THATCamp and helped build Serendip-o-matic. I co-edited a book and a journal issue on steampunk.

I serve on the Program Committee and the Delegate Assembly of the Modern Language Association and as Secretary for the international Association of Digital Humanities Organizations.
