After completing studies at the Holy Cross School and Christian Brothers Academy, certified public accountant (CPA) Brian Donahue attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he secured a bachelor of science in accounting in 1979. Brian Donahue went on to secure CPA licensure in New Jersey in 1983, New York in 2010, and North Carolina in 2013.
Early in his career, he served as a staff auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers and a compliance auditor with the New York Mercantile Exchange. He ultimately became a controller in charge of accounting and financial reporting for large futures commission merchants, serving 4 years with MBF Clearing Corp. and 5 years with American Futures Group.
