My name is Brian Faggin Batista, I was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, but raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and I am a graduate student in Visual Communications at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

I am also the Secretary of the UNC 2017-2018 Chapter of the National Press Photographer Association and a Stembler Scholar.

My hope is to be able to produce media pieces that illustrate the powerful force that is sports, in all its forms, as an instrument of change in people’s lives.
