Brian French

Originally from Concord, New Hampshire, Brian French moved to Los Angeles in the early 1990s to pursue a career as a professional drummer. What began behind the drum kit quickly evolved into a multifaceted career spanning live entertainment, television, film, and music production, making Brian one of the industry’s most versatile production professionals.

Over the past three decades, Brian has built a reputation as a trusted Producer, Production Manager, Broadcast Producer, Director, and Technical Production Executive, with extensive experience overseeing everything from intimate studio sessions to large-scale live broadcasts and concert productions. His unique ability to bridge the creative and technical worlds has made him a go-to leader for artists, studios, and production companies alike.

Throughout his career, Brian has worked alongside some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson, Bruce Willis, Fleetwood Mac, Eminem, Billie Eilish, Lauryn Hill, Olivia Rodrigo, Pierce the Veil, Martin Scorsese, and many others. His experience spans virtually every department of production, having served as a Tour Manager, Production Manager, Broadcast Producer, Audio Engineer, Pro Tools Operator, Video Producer, and Technical Director.

For the past 30 years, Brian has served as Production Manager for legendary artist Smokey Robinson, helping produce countless tours, television appearances, and live events. He also co-produced Smokey Robinson’s final three studio albums, further cementing a long-standing creative partnership built on trust, consistency, and excellence.

Most recently, Brian has been leading productions at Apple Music Studios, managing a diverse slate of live broadcasts, artist performances, radio programming, documentary projects, and studio productions. His work combines strategic planning, technical execution, budget management, and cross-functional leadership across multiple productions simultaneously.

As founder of Tempo Entertainment, Brian continues to develop projects across film, television, live entertainment, documentaries, and music. The company specializes in bringing together world-class creative talent and production expertise to deliver premium content from concept through completion. With several projects currently in development, Tempo Entertainment continues to expand into new creative ventures while maintaining its commitment to excellence, innovation, and storytelling.
