An alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Brian Frenzel claims more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biomedical fields. After four years of military service, Mr. Frenzel began his career at The Boston Consulting Group as a Management Consultant from 1978 to 1980, then joined Booz Allen & Hamilton Inc. as Principal of the Strategic Management Practice from 1980 to 1982. Brian Frenzel next accepted a position with Syntex Corporation, a pharmaceuticals and diagnostics firm that was eventually acquired by Roche, as its Director of Corporate Planning and Analysis.

Mr. Frenzel went on to apply his education and experience to various his own ventures, co-founding and serving as an executive for multiple firms in Silicon Valley. Beginning in 1984, Brian Frenzel served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Genelabs Technologies Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer of Adeza Biomedical Corporation, Chairman and CEO of Vesta Medical, Inc., and President and CEO of Centaur Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Since 2000, Brian Frenzel has worked as President of AnVent Group, through which he provides advisory services and private placement funding to biomedical and high technology firms. Mr. Frenzel also serves as a director at the Golden Capital Network, a nonprofit, public service organization providing training and support services to angel investors, entrepreneurs and regional development organizations, and is active with Band of Angels, a Silicon Valley-based organization of more than 125 private investors that provides funding to early stage ventures.

In his spare time, Mr. Frenzel enjoys golf, tennis, skiing and spending time with his family.
