A previous consulting radiologist for the Chicago White Sox baseball team and the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team, Brian Joseph Murphy, MD, also maintains his practice in Florida with offices in Tampa and Miami. In 2002, he founded a teleradiology company known as Free World Imaging, working with the Pinnacle Imaging Center, Qualitas Imaging Center, and other imaging centers. Now, Dr. Murphy continues to lead the company as its president, as well as serving as a diagnostic radiologist and Preident of Florida Medical Imaging, Inc., a position he has held since 2011.
Previously, Brian Joseph Murphy, MD, worked with several companies in the field of diagnostic radiology, including Signet Diagnostic Imaging and Heart of Florida Hospital. Prior to this, he held the position of Chief of Radiology Services at Ann Bates Leach Eye Hospital. He also served as an Associate Professor of Radiology, the Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology, and the Director of the MRI fellowship program at the University of Miami School of Medicine.
Dr. Murphy is affiliated with professional organizations such as the American College of Radiology, and he supports a number of charitable groups.
