Brian Mahar

Washington, DC

Brian has developed a reputation as one of the country's top clean economy communicators. Currently, he is helping the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office tell the story of how it helped finance innovative clean energy projects that are transforming the U.S. energy landscape -- and turn the page on the misperception surrounding the saga of Solyndra.

Previously he worked with the Solar Energy Industries Association and The Solar Foundation to secure fair policies and scale the U.S. solar market, now the fastest growing sector in the U.S. energy industry. He has also counseled clean economy businesses in their efforts to build markets and grow sales, from start-ups to global corporations, including AREVA Solar, Eco Power Solutions, SCHOTT North America and SPG Solar.

Brian also served in a variety of political, legislative and communications capacities for U.S. Representative John B. Larson (CT-1), one of the founders of the Congressional Hydrogen and Fuel Caucus.
