A graduate student in Wilmette, Illinois, Brian McCann received a BA in political science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During his time there, he was named to the dean’s list on multiple occasions and served as a member of the UIC Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Brian McCann was also selected by the university’s political science department to moderate interviews and debates in the lead-up to the state senate elections of 2012. Now based in Wilmette, he is working toward his master of social work at Loyola University Chicago.
Professionally, Mr. McCann’s interests lie in the clinical side of social work, and he hopes to become a specialist in mental health and addiction. Alongside his master’s studies, he has been accepted into Loyola University’s Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor certification program.
Outside of his educational pursuits, Mr. McCann is dedicated to volunteer work. In addition to working on web communications and voter relations for a number of political campaigns, he has volunteered for the Boys & Girls Club of Maywood and Habitat for Humanity.
