Words form doorways into the minds and worlds around you. Sometimes they build doors standing wide open and ready to walk through; and sometimes they are hidden and secret passageways. But once through them, they will transport you somewhere new for however long you decide to stay.
Brianna lives for words. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2014 with dual Bachelors of Science degrees in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises and Retail Management, as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Academic Writing and Rhetoric. She found her passion in writing, it provided structure and instruction for using words to express and challenge, create and invent.
At IBM, Brianna is a proposal writer assisting sales teams in creating value-driven, client-focused proposals. Throughout the development of sales proposals, she collaborates with dispersed teams of technical and sales professionals to create a unified voice and cohesive story that appeals to the client. By using a creative approach, she is able to encourage the teams to think critically about their work to create a client centric proposal.
This role with IBM has given Brianna the opportunity to further develop strong editing and proofreading skills while using project management to enable collaborations and met deadlines. She desires to cultivate these abilities to carry her into the publishing industry. To be part of the process that delivers words and language to the world would be the career dream of a lifetime.
It is a dream that will come true.
