Brianna Matzke

Dr. Brianna Matzke's dynamic pianism has won her wide-spread acclaim. As an aficionado of new music, she has collaborated with and commissioned works from many composers, including Douglas Knehans, Danny Clay, Paul Schuette, Dylan Sheridan, Ty Neimeyer, Molly Joyce, Bryan Percoco, Trevor Gomes, and Lindsey Jacob. Brianna's most recent solo programs have included innovative works by George Crumb, Emma Lou Diemer, and Carl Vine.
Brianna is a dedicated music educator and pedagogue with over ten years of teaching experience. Her doctoral studies included a concentration on piano pedagogy, and she was trained with some of the world's most famous and gifted piano pedagogues. Her students show a passion for music and have won many awards at festivals and competitions. As a faculty member at CCM Prep, she teaches Suzuki and traditional lessons, as well as classes in keyboard, music theory, and music history. She holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and the University of Kansas.
