Brianne Kimbrough
Broadcast Journalism Student in Dallas, Texas
Brianne Kimbrough is a Junior studying Broadcast Journalism at the University of North Texas. Brianne has always been fascinated with how communications impacts every facet of life. Brianne is a Emma Bowen Fellow getting ready to enter her third year of a four year internship at CBS 11 in Dallas, Texas.
While at CBS, Brianne was exposed to the conglomeration that stems from the branches of media and communications. Which allowed her to take part in the brainstorming of editorial meetings, she also gained field experience with reporters and photographers. She also procured production experience while working with the production team. She's not a stranger to the sales and marketing side of the business either. She has acquired the skills of the various programs utilized in the broadcasting world ( i.e. AVID, AVID INTERPLAY, INEWS, EXCEL, and etc).
In the infancy of Brianne's career, she produced a ten minute documentary that was sent to C-SPAN as a finalist for their student cam competition. During this time, she conducted her own radio show while interning at Fishbowl Radio Network in Arlington, Texas.
As time progressed, She became a anchor/producer of Prairie View A&M's version of a news broadcasting show. While in this position she was in charge of developing new ideas and innovative segments for the television show known as TGIF.
Communications is the beehive of society and is a constant networking activity which cross pollinates people and society.
Which is why Brianne has decided to pursue a career in Broadcast Journalism aspiring to be a world renowned journalists.
