Brian Poliner has worked in education, public policy, and operations management in the private and public sectors. He is a researcher, speaker, and writer. He has presented at international conferences on the subjects of ethics, leadership, management, and education. He has written on various topics in the field of education, especially the challenges educators face currently. He is a dedicated educator and passionate lifelong learner. A husband, a father of two, and a teacher of many, Brian Poliner continues in his pursuit of making the world a better place.

After decades in the private sector, where he successfully served as president of BRP Aviation and operations manager of WNY Air Freight, Brian Poliner decided to return to the world of academics and pursue a master’s degree. He soon earned a Master of Science in Leadership Business Ethics from Duquesne University. He immediately turned his eye to public work, and earned a Master of Public Administration from Hilbert College. Wanting to put his skills to work teaching others, he soon received his Ph.D. in leadership and policy from Niagara University.

Poliner approached his academic pursuits with focus and energy, and in so doing received multiple awards and honors. He has been inducted into Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, Phi Delta Kappa National Educator’s Association, Kappa Gamma Pi National Graduate Honor Society, and the Golden Key International Honour Society. He also received the St. Catherine’s Medal for Student and Scholastic Achievement, the highest honor given to a graduate student at Hilbert College.

Brian Poliner has years of experience in teaching and educational work. He worked as an adjunct professor at Hilbert College, teaching a wide range of subjects, including ethics, management, leadership, and public administration. He later served as Chair of the Graduate and On-line Masters of Public Administration, Health Administration, and Criminal Justice Programs, during which time he spearheaded many institutional initiatives and helped to develop new course content. In addition to teaching, Poliner has presented on his subjects of expertise at numerous international conferences, as well as writing extensively on the challenges in the current educational realm. Most noteworthy is his book Challenges and Responsibilities in Sustainable Education: Global​​ Responses to Critical Issues.
