Dr. Brian Taillon is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the East Carolina University College of Business. Currently, he teaches Marketing Strategy, the senior marketing capstone course, in the Department of Marketing & Supply Chain Management.

Brian's current research interests include marketing communications, digital and social media marketing, health behaviors, and social issues as they relate to marketing. Brian has presented at various international marketing conferences and his research has been published in journals such as Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Product & Brand Management, Journal of Marketing Management, and Basic and Applied Social Psychology, among others.

Brian serves as the Vice-Chair of Membership Insights and Analytics for the American Marketing Association (AMA) Higher Education Special Interest Group (Higher Ed SIG). He is also a member of the Academy of Marketing Science, Society for Marketing Advances, and American Marketing Association.

Prior to academia, Brian worked in the hospitality industry as a general manager for a full-service resort hotel. He also taught a variety of marketing courses as an assistant lecturer at The University of Akron.

Brian, a proud graduate of Youngstown State University (2005), earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Williamson College of Business. While an undergrad, he studied abroad in Adelaide, South Australia at Flinders University. In 2008, Brian graduated with an M.B.A. from The University of Akron.

In Brian's free time, he enjoys working out, traveling, visiting amusement parks, and spending time with his family. He is also a Halloween enthusiast.
