Read my blog

...and I've recently retired as President of a Toronto area manufacturer, Precision Label & Tag In., that I founded in 1987. In my spare time, I enjoy being the Master of Ceremonies at family weddings, but most of all, I really love to ride my Harley. For relaxation, I write stuff.....in fact, i've contributed to the Toronto Star, Toronto Sun and the New York Times. I tend to write about current events knowing that our constitutionally-guaranteed right to freedom of speech; our right to vigorous debate, our acceptance of divergent opinion as well as our right to change channels whenever we choose are inalienable rights that our father's and grandfather's fought and died for! My background includes receiving the 2007 Ontario Attorney General Victim Service Award for my work with victims of crime, like domestic violence and Journalism, Centennial College, class of '71. Here is a statement of my ethics and coverage policies. My blog began covering an election for Speak Your Mind, a Toronto Star initiative back in 2011 which has morphed into my Twitter to review justice issues, and although I tend to be passionate of what I write about or involve myself in, I don’t accept any money, or anything else of value, from the people or companies I cover. My Dad was a Toronto Police Officer so, I tend to be suspicious by nature and possibly could be accused of seeing events through a particular filter. I am not a member of any political party and although I am constantly being hit-on for donations and/or other forms of support, I respectfully decline. My personal 'bucket list' includes travel to some exotic islands, like Tobago. I own no individual company stocks. No one in any group has influence on or access to my writing, both those in draft or published. I also add a direct attribution link for disclosure when my posts include another writer's comment about the people or companies I cover. I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and my goal in writing is to enable folks to be informed through thought-provoking discussion. I review a variety of news sources and attempt to separate fact from fiction. I'm unafraid, loquacious, eloquent and sagacious! I talk politics, economics, music, travel, sports...whatever. (ps...my Twitter opinions are strictly personal)
