Bridget Hogg Clinical Psychology
Psychologist, Clinical, and Treatments in Brisbane
My name is Bridget, and I am a Clinical Psychologist dedicated to providing a warm, approachable, and effective therapy experience. My goal is to support individuals facing significant emotional and psychological challenges by offering evidence-based treatments in a safe and welcoming environment.
My areas of focus include:
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Eating Disorders Treatment in Brisbane
General Clinical Psychology
At Bridget Hogg Psychology Brisbane, I offer a comprehensive DBT program. DBT is widely recognised as the gold-standard treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and is also highly effective for a range of other difficulties, including addiction, self-harm, eating disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
DBT is a practical, skills-based therapy. Clients learn and apply four key skill areas:
Mindfulness
Emotion Regulation
Distress Tolerance
Interpersonal Effectiveness
These skills are taught through structured group sessions, while individual therapy focuses on applying them to each person’s unique life challenges. Our group programs are supportive, engaging, and often help participants build meaningful connections with others.
“Nothing is either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”
– William Shakespeare
Eating Disorders Brisbane provides compassionate and experienced care for individuals struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and other disordered eating patterns. These conditions affect both physical health and emotional wellbeing, and many people delay seeking help due to feelings of shame or embarrassment.
We offer evidence-based treatments, particularly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which has been shown through research to be highly effective. My approach is grounded in understanding, acceptance, and respect—ensuring that every individual feels supported regardless of their experience.
Our Clinical Psychology services address a wide range of concerns, including:
Anxiety and panic
Stress related to work or relationships
Excessive worry and perfectionism
PTSD
Depression and bipolar disorder
Post-natal depression
Addictive behaviours
OCD
Sleep difficulties
Domestic violence and abuse
Communication and relationship challenges
In my practice, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, and CBT. I aim to create a relaxed, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. While therapy often involves discussing difficult topics, I also believe that humour and human connection play an important role in the healing process.
I am deeply committed to helping people improve their quality of life—especially those who feel overwhelmed or stuck. Reaching out for support is a meaningful step toward change, and I have great respect for anyone who takes that step.
