Born and raised in Chicago, Brigitte Beling's creative path has brought her to Paris, France where she is currently residing. Working with an international team of musicians, this young artist is hard to forget. With an unmistakable voice that stands out in any setting, her original compositions speak for themselves.
Starting out with gospel on the south side of Chicago, Brigitte went on to perform jazz and sing the blues for various artists and meet those who would soon be role models for her songs. W. Clement Stone was one of the first to touch her life as well as Elie Wiesel who kindly paved the way.
She studied musical theater at Columbia College under the direction of Bobbi Wilson and Sheldon Patinkin (head director Columbia College,Steppenwolf Theatre, The Second City) She regularly shared the stage on projects around the Windy City before she headed out to Paris, France in 1993.
Nominated young talent revelation in 2008, her song "Inspired By You" was selected for the 2008 electorial campaign with the American Embassy in Paris.
She has performed with and for many people. Koko Taylor, Joe Yost, BB King, John Hughes, Sophia Loren, Michael Keaton, Linda and Laura Good, Debbie Reynolds, Joan Jett, Boney Fields, K-led Balsam, Lucky and Tamara Peterson, Karim Albert Kook, Sean Conly, Liza Minelli, Ludovic Pimenta.
Brigitte has performed at the Bastia Jazz Festival in Cosica,Fete de L'Humanité, "Ya Basta"- movie by Gustave de Kervern.
TF1 has called her their "Coup de coeur Americaine" (favorite americain).
Early on Brigitte had developed a desire to help others which now results in her strong humanitarian engagements. What is her secret? She'll answer "Just being natural and making people comfortable."
She was the International Ambassador for the "P'tits Loups" association and now works with The Julien & Jonadev Trail performing regularly for patients and their families at the Institut Gustave Roussy, one of Europe's leading cancer centers.
She makes regular appearances both on stage and television with such teams as "Tous En Scene" at Theatre de Montreuil, Theatre de Villemomble, Mairie de Paris.
