The acquisition by Groupon of VenueLabs has given Brishen Kaszycki a source of excitement. Knowing that Chicago-based company Groupon has made several other acquisitions that have led to overnight successes, its acquisition of VenueLabs is sure to be highly productive for the entire team. VenueLabs has developed the technology that has enabled local businesses to stay updated on what people are saying about them via various social media networks. The VenueLabs technology will be integrated into Groupon’s innovative Pages service. This will serve as a platform similar to Yelp, which will enable local merchants to optimize a special landing page where customers can get information about the business.

Brishen Kaszycki believes the acquisition by Groupon will substantially expand research and development efforts by VenueLabs in order to ensure that the VenueLabs technology will get greater strength and wider usability the world over. Multiple social channels will be used to provide substantial merchant information, with real time content proving to be more engaging and highly applicable for many purposes.
