Britney Tavares

Hey there. Nice to meet you!

I’m Britney Tavares, an Actor and Illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. I’m also a 3rd year Media Production student at Ryerson University. As a resident of both Canada and the United States, I split my time between Toronto, Canada and Orlando, Florida.

I’ve been involved in Toronto’s film industry as an actor since 2015, and joined the ACTRA actor’s union as an apprentice in 2019. I’ve worked on a variety of short films, commercials, and more, with my most notable work being Quinn on Netflix's Spinning Out series. I hope for my studies at Ryerson to allow me to expand my knowledge of behind-the-scenes work on set, and to work as a screenwriter on a future production.

I’ve been a freelance illustrator since 2021, spanning from the creation of custom greeting cards to unique icons and designs for product packaging. In 2022, I’m working on expanding my career in illustrations into the realm of children’s literature.

In my free time, I love to dabble in photography. My Canon EOS M50 is my best friend. I seriously take it everywhere -- snapping photographs of places I've been, my food, my friends and family, and myself.
