So a little about me...
...First and foremost I'm a Christian. I believe that Jesus is God's Son who came to earth to die on a cross and rise from the dead to defeat sin and it's bondage on us. This however is not a "religious" blog...but my thoughts behind the blog stem from my faith so don't be surprised to read something about God in my blog but don't expect to be "preached" at. I have an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design which I complete in 2005...aaand then decided that just wasn't for me and a few months after graduating college I started my job as a police/fire dispatcher at a local sheriff's department. I worked there for five and a half years and learned a lot...heck I pretty much grew up there :) During my time of working as a dispatcher I met, dated and married my husband Jason...became a mother to our first daughter Jessica and then to our second daughter Joanne. While on maternity leave after having Joanne, we decided that while it would put us in a tighter financial position, it was best for me to quit my job as a dispatcher and stay at home full-time with our two girls. So that's where I am now...a full-time mommy, wife, homemaker and aspiring blogger :) My extended family (aka our pet family) are our two dogs Coal (black Lab) and Mattie (black lab mix), Billie Jean our goat (yes, we have a goat) and our bunny Minnie. Some of the things I enjoy (in no particular order) are: cooking, baking, cake decorating, stretching a penny to a dollar, gardening, recycling (yes, recycling), composting, creek walking, fishing and just being outside in general.
