Brittany Lowery

Hello my name is Brittany Lowery I am 22 years old. I have 3 beautiful children; ages 1,3,and 5. I had once dreamed of being that stay at home mom, doing house duties or what not until financial stuff became an issue. I began to job search with no degree, not even a high school diploma. I got hired on as a part time cashier at a small grocery store called Food City. I’ve worked there since 2011 where I have become a Customer Service Coordinator to a Front End Manager. Meanwhile I have achieved my GED and I currently attend Virginia College where I am studying to be a medical assistant. Throughout the last few terms I have become skilled in phlebotomy, CPR, taking vitals, EKG’s, and becoming familiar with insurance claims and verifications. I’ve also made dean’s list twice out of four terms which is huge for me because I was such a failure in grad school that grades meant nothing to me but now it is EVERYTHING! being perfect is impossible but being enough for my children is enough for me. I hope one day they can look at me and say thanks mom for all you do for us. Being recognized is more then enough for me!
