Brittany Boersma
After practicing yoga on and off for years, in the fall of 2011 Brittany made one of the best decisions of her life and enrolled in the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at Yogaspace downtown, Toronto. Through this program she developed a passion that opened her up to a whole new experience of life.
Having studied closely with Kathryn Beet, Patricia White and Hali Schwartz. Brittany has developed a style of teaching that respects the individuality of each practitioner regarding flexibility, alignment, breathing patterns and mental state of mind. With interests in all styles of yoga, restorative and therapeutic yoga practices have made a special place in Brittany’s heart. She enjoys giving students plenty of hands on assists throughout class, and especially loves tucking people in for Savasana with an abundance of warm blankets, eye pillows and calming music. Recently certified with the Yoga Alliance, Brittany is also currently completing the second half of her 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training. Areas of study include Therapeutic Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Flow Yoga, Advanced Hatha, Pre-Natal, and Adapting Asana for People with Limited Mobility.
Brittany’s main passion lies in re-connecting her students body and mind awareness through the direction of breath and physical surrender or “letting go”. She believes this encourages people to experience themselves as a whole, breathing, health body. People can expect to leave her class feeling centered, at ease, and with a heart uplifted.
