Whenever I’m asked what I am passionate about, I envision a vast array of everything that I love; philanthropy, social justice, technology, marketing, animals, and the environment. I used to give a very abbreviated response, until I realized that there doesn’t have to be one answer. I don’t see the world in black and white, yes or no, “a” or “b”, but rather, in vivid color.

I grew up optimistically questioning the world around me, finding humor and opportunity in every obstacle, and seeking outside perspectives, cultures, and norms. My naturally inquisitive, adventurous spirit has led me to challenge myself both personally and professionally in everything that I do.

I am enamored with higher education and find great joy in connecting people to the places and faces that they love. I think critically and strategically, implementing marketing and creative writing into much of my work. Everything has a story to tell, and my fondness of writing helps to bring the experiences of others to life. I specifically enjoy writing compelling copy for fundraising and engagement.

I laugh a lot, appreciate a good cup of coffee, am a former Seattleite, a current Portlander (the original Portland!) loyal dog mom, and firm believer that I am never done learning. As far as the aforementioned complex, open-ended question that is all too commonly asked, the answer is this: I want to leave this world a better place than it was when I came into it, and if I can help to transform even one life in the process, I have succeeded.
