New York, NY
Prior to entering the world of education, Brittany often sought opportunities to make big changes in the lives of those around her by volunteering in her community. Her giving spirit led to a natural progression into education where she inspired countless students to dream big, be persistent, and never give up.
Honing her entrepreneurial skills, Brittany sought fundraising opportunities and solicitied donations from local business in order to subsidize educational field trips for high-needs, at-risk students. From 2006-2011, she raised nearly $5,000 and coordinated 13 field trips, each trip accommodating 120-180 children and parent volunteers.
Currently, Brittany works for the NYC Department of Education, managing a 7-person team tasked with supporting the rollout of the new teacher evaluation system. She has impacted thousands of teachers, principals, and other DOE staff through her development of an online knowledge repository, training manuals, guidance documents, online webinars, and one-page policy briefs.
Brittany's expertise include strategic communication, knowledge management, project management, and professional development.
Brittany enjoys running, reading, and reveling in the sights and sounds of New York City. She is continually seeking new experiences to grow persoanlly and professionally.
