Brittany Jones

After receiving my bachelor’s degree in African American Studies in 2007 from Temple University in Philadelphia I relocated to New Orleans. I spent two years working for the AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. Before entering the ELMBA program I worked full-time as a Program Coordinator the NAACP’s ACT-SO (Academic, Cultural, Technological, Cultural, and Scientific Olympics of the Mind) program.

Giving back to any community I am a member of has always been an integral part of my personal mission. My goal is to use all that I learn while earning an MBA along with the cachet that the letters alone convey to serve my communities in both direct and indirect ways. I don’t have a specific career in mind after the program, instead I hope to make the most out of the next year as an intense discovery process.

My name is Brittany Jones and I am a native of the Baltimore County, Maryland area. I grew up with my mother and two sisters, one older and one younger. In my spare time I enjoy writing poetry and prose, blogging and of course brainstorming new ideas for connecting and empowering people!
