I remember one evening when I was in third grade, I found myself reenacting a favorite scene from the movie Titanic. Looking dead into the mirror with teary eyes I quoted, “Jack. Jack. I will never let go.” Weird. I know, but what child isn't...right? Any-who, it was this type of artistry that evoked so much passion that I never really understood...until I came to college.

I originally began college as a Fine Arts major. I have always found peace through creating new art and loved the feeling of accomplishment when it was complete. However, after my sophomore year, I began to wonder if there was something else out there for me.

After discussing my options with my teachers, family, friends, and sisters of Theta Phi Alpha, I decided upon which new path to take. That path was Electronic Media and I began studying a convergence of different media: writing (news, web, applications, scripts, blogs, etc), designing (animations, logos, banners, websites, etc), producing, editing, filming, and on camera talent.

The program has so much to offer and through each course I found myself loving a little bit of everything. I even began acquiring other minors that could also be related back to the media world Linder College of Business: Marketing and Professional Sales

I also studied abroad in Munich, Germany, with the E-Media program. We completed a quarter of coursework and accomplished an internship with Lucy Turpin Communications, a PR and MarCom agency. Other than consuming the best beer in the entire universe, this adventure also gave me the opportunity to discover, learn, live, and adapt to new cultures and life experiences.

It was through all of these trials and adventures, that I learned how all of these artistic outlets could evoke so much passion and enthusiasm within myself. I may not know what I want to do with my life exactly, but I know whatever I do, I will do it with the creativity and passion that always lives within me because I will never, never, let go.
