Brittany Meyer

Chicago, IL

My name is Brittany Meyer, born in New York, raised in Florida. I ride elevators fearlessly and my biggest weakness would be french bulldogs.

I am a designer, comedian, cool person, and sales consultant.

I do cool things all the time; By day, I design events, hotel brands, products, furniture, and other cool things with my Interior Design degree. In the evening, I do stand-up comedy, tweet, food photography, design plays/ballets, watch Bob's Burgers or Blackhawks games, go to wrestling shows and am a great friend & lover.

I love to travel. I've been to Austin for SXSW Film Festival, New Orleans for Mardi Gras AND New Years, San Francisco for an event with Facebook, San Diego for and event for Starwood Hotels, Sacramento for family (cause that's all there really is there), and Puerto Rico for friends.

I love meeting new people and enjoying new experiences. Breakfast is one of the most importiant things to me as is barrel aged beers. My only regret? Not fighting a chupacabra that time I went to Puerto Rico.

Upon High School graduation in 2008, I attended Florida State University as an alternate for the Film School and a selected student in the prestigious NASAD accredited School of Art and Design. Here, I majored in the internationally renowned CIDA accredited Interior Design school working under architects and designers such as Eric Wiedegreen, Jim Dawkins, Dr. Jill Pable, David Butler, Peter Munton, and Dr. Lisa Waxman.

I had an awesome job in college. I managed the Student Life Cinema, an on-campus movie theatre. In the four years I worked at the SLC, I had the pleasure of meeting and working with many names in film, such as Edgar Wright, Nick Offerman, Bob Boilen, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jan Harlan and Jason Biggs. Moderating a Q&A with Nick Offerman was one of the best moments in my life. For more info about the SLC, click here.

I worked at the Florida State Governor's Mansion for two years being a docent and as an antique appraisal assistant at Bass & Bass Ltd. I have done freelance AutoCAD for GM's Facility Image Program under Gensler Architects. My last job in Tallahassee was a sales associate position at Tallahassee Lighting.

Upon moving to Chicago in the fall of 2012, I did everything I could to design and work in the industry I loved--even if that meant temp wo
