Curiosity, exposure, inspiration, and dreaming of impacting the world has led Brittany Wilkins to pursue a career in engineering. She is making an impact in the automotive industry as an Advanced Development Process Engineer leading operation system improvement effort making products/processes cheaper, better, and faster. Brittany's Pursuit of an engineering career began at Youngstown State University. She received her bachelor's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering. The road to becoming a stem professional was full of many trials & tribulations. On the verge of almost failing out of engineering & being told she did not have what it takes to be an engineer, Brittany realized giving up was not an option. Brittany overcame adversity through persistence, hard work, determination, & a mindset philosophy of “successful individuals have to think differently to accomplish their goals. From struggling to failing forward toward success Brittany was nominated Women of The Year 2010 for her accomplishments in academic achievement in STEM. Her pursuit of impacting the world extends far beyond her career in engineering. Now looking to educate, empower, and elevate more women & young professionals to impact the world, Brittany has founded Successfully Inspiring Engineers™ an academic support, coaching, and consulting firm to help increase the retention of underrepresented minorities in Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics. With a mission to provide personal & professional development programs that help women & young professionals succeed in college & life becoming leaders of today for tomorrow’s generation. She believes that success means nothing if you are not reaching back to help others. This belief has led her to do outreach programs that inspire more youth to pursue careers in the STEM fields. Driven by faith & dedicated to service Brittany is actively involved in her community serving as a mentor to FIRST Robotics Program & Girl Scouts Northeast Ohio. She has spoken with organizations such as Inspiring Minds.
