Brittany Woolsey

I first got into journalism when I was in middle school. In those years, I started a weekly publication, The Weekly Dragon. After that, in high school, I wrote for the Baron Banner and within a month of starting, I was named Student Life Editor. When I started at Cal State Long Beach in Fall of 2008, I wrote as a contributing writer for the Daily 49er. I became more heavily involved as the Assistant Diversions Editor and eventually became Diversions Editor, where I worked from Spring 2010 to Spring 2012. Since my start at Long Beach, I have taken several journalism classes, in which I learned the requirements of the field. These skills include print, online journalism, design, photography and more. I have a high interest in learning more, as well as the advantage of being able to learn new skills quickly.
