Brittany Norman

There is a certain kind of knowledge that one gains from moving around as a child. Although as I was going through it I did not enjoy the expereince of moving, there is no doubt in my mind that it was formative. I was born in Nashville, TN and have sinve lived in Indianapolis, San Antonio and most recetly Monroe, Ohio. Moving around exposes you to many different types of people, you learn to not be so judgement when encoutering something new. Moving around also brought me close to my family, my two little sisters Stephanie and Bethany.

As a highschooler I did not feel challenged by my highschool so during my sophomore year I decided to take advantage of the "post-secondary" program that allowed a highschooler to take casses at the local community college. I was accepted into the program and for my junior and senior year of highschool I split my time between Monroe High and Miami University in Middletown.

In college, my desire for a challege has persisted. Throughout my career here at Miami I have been fortunate enough to teach two different classes, continue working at LensCrafters part time and, just this past month, pass my ABO test making me a licesenced optician.
