I will place my money on effort over talent and motivation over giftedness. Although God-given talent shouldn’t be overlooked, a person with motivation who combines it with effort will beat out a born talent any day.
I believe in the fair distribution of knowledge. Too many individuals are disenfranchised with visions, but lack the know-how.
I believe in learning from our elders and listening to our youth. They both have a lot of wise things to say.
I was never a believer in public humiliation for the personal gains of power, control and forced conformity of others. It kills a soul, sometimes to the point of no return, so stop it.
I want to live in a world where common sense, tolerance and harmony are the norm.
Here’s what I know for certain:
I know for certain that children need their fathers as much as their mothers to be present and active.
I know for certain that your dreams may be deferred, but should never be forgotten.
I know for certain that it’s easier to laugh than to beat oneself up over non-life threatening mistakes.
I know for certain life is hard. ‘Nuff said.
