Fostering learning, connections, and students’ strengths

I am a newly certified teacher in the Intermediate/Senior division holding qualifications in Geography and Business (General), as well as an additional qualification in the Junior division. I enjoy going on walks, playing golf, and working in the outdoors. I value ensuring the mental health and well-being for myself as well as my students and always check on the well-being to ensure they feel safe and valued.

I am passionate in fostering student learning and creating an environment that is inclusive and supportive of all students. Students bring many strengths, needs, and lived experiences into the classroom and I strive to incorporate these aspects and support them in the learning environment, allowing the students to see themselves represented in the curriculum. I value building strong student-teacher connections that helps me guide the best learning and support for the students and be a trusted adult for them to talk to. I am a lifelong learner and am always ensuring what I learn I can bring into the classroom.
