Kenneth Brofas (born 15th August 1968) is an Orthopedic Surgeon currently serving (since October 2018) as the Medical Director in the Special Operations Surgical Team under the United Nations Assistance Mission in YEMEN (UNAM).

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Brofas was born in Torun Poland to a prominent family, His father was a Engineer and his Mother (Polish descent) was a successful business woman. In 1986 he completed his High School from Staple High School in Westport CT, He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut at Storrs and received his MD degree from Georgetown University. He completed five years of Orthopedic Training Residency at the University of Pennsylvania

CAREER

Dr. Brofas was the Division Head of Orthopedic Surgery at Burgdorf Health University Connecticut, He is currently working in Yemen under the United Nations Authority as the Medical Director of Special Operations Surgical Medical Team and Paramedics Medical Emergency Response Team.

PERSONAL LIFE

Brofas was born in Torun Poland and grew up in the United States, He is the only child of his parents, he lost his father (Engr. Allen Kenneth died of prostate cancer) at the very tender age, Brofas grew up with is mother in Connecticut whom passed away about a year ago after her long suffering from paralysis from the shock of her husbands death. Brofas was married to Helena Travis (deceased) a Chattered Account and they had a Daughter together. Helena died during the process of giving birth to their second child on October 10, 2009, He never remarried until date.
