HISTORY: Born and raised in the rolling foothills of the Ozarks, I have called Fayetteville my home all my life. At an early age I learned that peace, for me, was in the quiet solitude of the forest. An FHS alum (go purple dogs!) I decided to cross the street and discovered Razorback red suited me just fine. I had my name carved into the sidewalk at the University of Arkansas after studying Mass Comm and Psych. Along the way I picked up a basement job at KNWA (NBC affiliate). After many years of always doing more than was asked of me, I now find myself in the role of News Director and managing both KNWA and FOX24 content, brand and community involvement. I love my job. And I love the people I work with every day.
FAMILY: I'm married to the love of my life, Meredith. She amazes me with her tenacity, compassion and thoughtfulness. She inspires me to be better. I sure am glad we're married.
We have a beautiful daughter, Adelaide. I am completely wrapped around her little finger. The entire world means less to me than that little child. My favorite part of the day is our daddy-daughter morning time. She sits in my lap eating Cheerios while we talk about stuff and watch some sort of Disney movie together.
FAITH: I am a Christian. I won't hide that fact from anyone nor will I preach about it. I have found my Faith centers me in life. If you wish to talk about how my relationship with Christ has made all the difference in my life, feel free to ask and I will gladly share. My road to Salvation was not the standard Sunday-school-raised-in-the-church-never-questioned-anything path. It was a dark road filled with doubt and demons. But I came out on the other side and have a few tales to tell. I attend Fellowship Bible NWA on Sunday mornings.
CONNECT: I invite you to connect with me! I have a passion for writing and you can see some of my inner-most thoughts through my blog. You can also freely peep in on my life through Facebook and Instagram. Feel free to follow me on Twitter (news feeds sprinkled with an occasional observation from me).
