I'm a seventh generation Texan. My ancestors were actual pioneers that fought to stake their claim. They recognized the limitless opportunities and took crazy risks to pursue their dreams.

I've been on a wanderlust road trip with my co-pilot Bella. We've landed most recently in Washington D.C.. The city is fantastic, but the access to nature surprised me in the most delightful way!

A few years ago I took a big risk - leaving a big job in brand marketing to start a tech start-up with a social / environmental purpose. I love the energy of start-up life, but I really miss the power of a fully integrated (and reasonably funded) marketing team. I'm job hunting now to find the best way to bring my corporate / big brand experience and my start-up innovation experience together in a way that really makes an impact.

In the meantime, I'm writing ... alot. Publishing almost nothing. I guess there are risks I take, and risks I don't take!
