Brooke Geschwind

New York, Ny

I am a student at the University of Delaware studying Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business Administration. I've developed a keen eye for fashion and have enhanced it with oversea trips to Prague and Israel in High School. These trips enabled me to appreciate varying international style and taste. I've come to appreciate how one's creativity and environment can affect the look of the same garment on different people. After being exposed to various markets and countries throughout my trip, I am determined to explore more of the world and learn about different styles and cultures. I believe that fashion plays a very powerful role in our everyday lives. Some people use it as a way to express themselves, while others use it as an escape from reality; you can dress up to be anyone you want to be. Fashion is all around us and I want to be able to contribute to that globally. I plan to take on the world and be exposed to the cultures and styles not seen everyday in the U.S.

In addition to my passion to travel and learn, I am an opportunity chaser, ready to take on a professional role in the fashion industry. I want experience in various positions to have a better understanding and perspective of the impact that each department plays in the company as a whole. I have developed a reputation for dedication, enthusiasm and innovation in my previous positions. My goal is to learn as much as I can through every opportunity I encounter. Whether in New York or around the world, I have a plethora of experience as a team member and leadership roles that would allow me to succeed in any position. After interning for Haute Hippie this past summer, I developed many skills such as communication and multi-tasking that are crucial in a fast-paced working environment. With previous experience and a passion to see the world, I hope to obtain a career in the fashion industry where I can continue to travel and expand my creativity. Just like Robert Bonano said, "Every hundred feet the world changes," and as fashion continues to change around the world, I will be a part of that change.
