For 14 months, I had the privilege of calling rural Mozambique home. Fueled by the itch to travel and the desire for a professional and personal challenge, I joined the Peace Corps as a community health volunteer. This same itch led to me leave and travel the world in pursuit of my passions.

As a volunteer my overarching goals were to improve awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and malnutrition. Under this umbrella, my projects included: micro-financing for women living with HIV/AIDS and families supporting orphans, and supporting the hospital and community health workers in performing more efficient and effective work.

I'm an avid fan of crossword puzzles and podcasts. My aim is to read at a speed of one book per month. My favorite beverages include coffee, tea, chocolate milkshakes, spicy bloody maries, and wine - not in that order. I'm fascinated by the power of language and photography. Discovering new music makes me happy. I value travel, family, passion, honesty, and above all good humor.
