Brooke Lake

Brooke is a senior at Colorado State University obtaining a degree in international and Arabic studies with a concentration on Middle Eastern North Africa. She has studied abroad in Meknes, Morocco and currently studies in Amman, Jordan.
Brooke has been working for the Rocky Mountain Collegian since August of 2012 as an opinion editorialist, and formely as the editorial board assistant. She aslso is a sponsored blogger for CSU Education Abroad and her work has been published and recognized by international publications.
She has also worked as a cultural mentor for Colorado State University, as well as a cultural liaison for the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program.
Additionally, Brooke has enjoyed volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, as well as spent time in Egypt volunteering for humanitarian organizations. In addition to being a full time student, Brooke is involved with the Office of International Programs including attending the Friday Afternoon Club; weekly community gathering of international students and members of the Fort Collins community who work towards meaningful cross cultural exchanges.
