Brooke McGibbon

Hi, welcome to my website! My name is Brooke McGibbon and I’m a third year RTA: Sport Media student at Ryerson University. I moved to Toronto about 2.5 years ago to study what I’m most passionate about - sports! You can usually find me around campus with friends, or working at my part time job at Red Bull Canada on the field marketing team.

I would love to have a job as an on-air host or reporter. (Hockey and basketball are my preferred sports.) Although I have an idea of what my dream job is, I am mostly interested in learning as many skills as possible along the way. My favourite thing is saying YES to new opportunities and things that may scare me, and cause me to step out of my comfort zone. My main focus is to build a successful portfolio filled with journalism projects, edited video content, and a highlight reel of my work. Along the way, I would like to transform my social media platforms into more of a brand that represents me. I want to tailor my content to ensure that it is appealing to future employers, and I would also like to have a presentable Linkedin page as well.
