Brooks Garner

Hey, I'm Brooks Garner. I'm from Macon, Georgia but currently live in Athens as a UGA pre-med student. I’m going into my sophomore year next fall. I enjoy being active and being outdoors whenever possible. I love exercising and playing sports. I try to spend as much time with my family and friends as possible and embrace a social atmosphere. Georgia football games and concerts are some of my favorite events to attend. I love cooking and eating good food. One of my absolute favorite hobbies is fishing. It's an outdoor activity you can do in some beautiful places. I enjoy the calmness and patience required when fishing as well as the adrenaline rush from catching a fish. I grew up freshwater fishing in middle Georgia for bass or catfish but also love saltwater fishing whenever I get the chance. Fishing is an easy activity to spend time outdoors and gain quality time with those close to you. Some of my favorite days have been just hanging out with friends on the water fishing and spending time together. Overall, I try to keep a balanced life by prioritizing my social life and friends I care about and fishing is one of the ways I can achieve this.
