Brian has over twenty-five years of marketing and product development experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has extensive brand-building experience in all stages of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle from pre-commercial planning and clinical development to the formulation of the overall marketing mix including development and execution of effective promotional programs. Brian established White Bear Consulting, LLC, a successful consulting practice focused on providing data driven strategic and commercial solutions to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies better understand their markets, optimize their development plans and improve their market positions through the intelligent alignment of market research with commercialization strategies and planning. Prior to white Bear, Brian served as Executive Director, Commercial Development and Operations for Elixir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Cambridge, MA, a startup biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of novel treatments for metabolic diseases. Before Elixir, Brian was head of the U.S. Marketing Department for 3M Pharmaceuticals and has held leadership positions for several leading pharmaceutical companies including Bristol-Myers Squibb, SmithKline Beecham (now GSK) and Pfizer. In addition to his extensive commercialization background, Brian also has experience in R&D; as a bench chemist, market research and pharmaceutical sales. Brian holds an MBA in marketing management from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Bowdoin College.
