Cheryl Brown

I am a lecturer in the Centre for Innovation of Learning and Teaching (CILT) at the University of Cape Town. I teach in and convene courses in the Postgraduate Program in Educational Technology as well as supervise students at both Masters and PhD levels. I am involved in institutional programs such as digital literacy, and the flexible learning project.

I am very interested in students’ experiences of using technology for learning. Although higher education students skills in using technology is increasing globally, students digital practices in terms of using technology effectively for their learning are not as well established.

I hope my research can contribute to growing international interest in the area of digital literacy and identity of University students.
