I am 45 years old, married to an incredible wife, and father of two children in elementary school, Sydney and Mason. We live in Maryland, a little east of Baltimore and about an hour from Washington D.C. up I-95 North.

My goal this year is to complete the half marathon portion of The Baltimore Running Festival this October. I have never done anything like this before and am looking forward to completing this goal. I hit a small snag last month when I tore my left calf muscle and I have been in a boot for four weeks. I am looking forward to getting back to riding my bike and starting to run so I can get myself in proper condition this summer. I am using the Under Armour Map my Ride, and Record, apps to track my progress and find those apps very helpful.

Currently I am on my third career. I started as a sales manager and management trainer at Circuit City in the 1990's, then studied radiography at Johns Hopkins and worked as a radiographer (X-Ray) at The University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center during the 2000's, now I am an emergency department nurse at The University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland and also work as a nurse part time for Johns Hopkins.

I will begin taking Political Science courses this year in preparation for a possible fourth career. I would like a position working with local or national government to help the people of my area and our country. I spend so much time watching C-Span, listening to POTUS on XM, and reading The Hill, Roll Call, Huffington Post, and others that I should probably put this interest to good use. I have been a republican but now I am more independent and in the middle.

I do not fold the laundry as often as I should, so I am told, but that does not really concern me.
