Bruce Boeck
Although eternally nosy about everything, I find my interests primarily in things that make people tick. Thus, maybe it was preordained I'd find my way to Psychology as a profession and Theatre as a passion. Psychology, specifically counseling, allows me to work with people to understand their problems and help them through, and Theatre allows me to be whatever I want and create characters that I help come to life.
I've been a counselor for over 30 years, working with every age group, every type of problem I can imagine and then some. I still see people at my office regularly. You can find me through the Therapy Directory,
My Theatre experience began in 5th grade, through high school, then went on sabbatical for 26 years until my kids were grown and I could make a fool of myself without excessive embarrassment to them. I've acted at Heartland Theatre Company, most notably in The Women of Lockerbie, Never the Sinner, and some of the productions in their 10 minute play festival. I've had two plays accepted in the Ten Minute Play Festival, "Death Loves Chocolate" and "Crickets". I write a lot, short plays for our local seniors acting group, plus whatever interests me.
I live in Normal, Illinois, with my beloved wife and three crazy cats. I love film, books, and chocolate (dark, please). I bake a mean cheesecake. You'd like me. Send me mail.
