Bruce Foerster
Bruce Foerster has more than 20 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. From 1991 to 2012, he held the position of Managing Director of the Jaguar Reef Lodge, a luxury beachfront resort located in Belize. His responsibilities entailed overseeing all aspects of the resort’s operations including housekeeping, staffing, payroll, marketing, and tour arrangements. During his tenure, the Jaguar Reef Lodge received a number of awards, including "Hotel of the Year 2010." Committed to maintaining a high level of professionalism, Bruce Foerster accomplishes his duties with integrity, an eye for detail and the mentality of a team player. He believes in putting forth a 100% effort for every task he undertakes. During the course of his career in the hospitality industry, Mr. Foerster became familiar with virtually all facets of "destination" tourism. Bruce Foerster is a graduate of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors College in Jacksonville, Florida, and earned certification as a diving instructor, equipment repair specialist, and CPR instructor. In his professional history, Mr. Foerster held a variety of positions in various industries, including chemist/technician at the Illinois Institute of Technology, commercial pilot for Athabasca Airways, and commercial diver for Allied Seafood Divers. In 1982, Mr. Foerster joined the securities industry as a Financial Planner. He served with a number of investment firms, including Stenner Financial, Investors Syndicate, Vantage Securities, and England Securities. His principal responsibilities for these firms were designing and managing sophisticated investment portfolios. Bruce Foerster worked as a Financial Planner for 11 years before retiring his securities license in 1995 and devoting his full attention to the tourism/hospitality industry.
