Bruce Scaff
A skilled medical professional with more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Bruce Scaff attends to the urgent medical needs of patients at several hospitals in the state of Texas. Dr. Bruce Scaff completes more than a dozen shifts every month, serving as an emergency room physician at Goodall-Witcher Hospital, East Texas Medical Center Athens, and Hill Country Memorial Hospital. Prior to turning his professional focus to the emergency room in 2009, Dr. Bruce Scaff operated a full-range family practice at the Goodall-Witcher Healthcare Foundation’s Clifton Medical Clinic in Clifton. Dr. Bruce Scaff joined the Clifton Medical Clinic in 1984 and focused primarily on pediatrics and obstetrics. In addition to delivering thousands of babies, both naturally and by caesarian section, Dr. Bruce Scaff performed surgical procedures such as dilation and curettage to handle a variety of the complications associated with obstetric practice. Dr. Bruce Scaff eventually adjusted his medical focus to adapt to the changing health care needs of his aging patient base, acting as a geriatrician during the final 10 years of his practice at the Clifton Medical Clinic. From 1995 through 2008, Dr. Bruce Scaff held the title of Medical Director of Valley Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation, the Meridian Manor nursing home, and the Clifton Nursing and Rehabilitation L.P. Dr. Bruce Scaff also serves as the Medial Director for American Hospice in Fort Worth, a position he accepted in 2000. A Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine committed to the advancement of his chosen field, Dr. Bruce Scaff holds membership in the American Medical Directors Association, the Texas Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and the Bosque-Hamilton County Medical Society. Dr. Bruce Scaff received a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology at the University of Texas at Austin in 1977 and proceeded to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Immediately following the conclusion of his formal education, Dr. Bruce Scaff participated in the Corpus Christi Family Practice Residency Program at the Memorial Medical Center.
