My name is Arden Cruce despite the odd and slightly concerning username “Bruh Fruit” from a nineteen year old college student. You might be reading this with a plethora of questions racing through your mind such as “did she seriously submit this?”, or “where did this even come from?”. I have no other explanation for this other then this is just a mere example of the spontaneous haphazards that go through my mind daily.

All throughout my life one characteristic that has been persistent is my sense of humor, despite I might be the only one laughing at my comedy. I have struggled with mental health issues since I was little, and nothing has ever made me feel better than the feeling you get when you’re laughing. The way that no matter what you’re feeling in the moment, when you laugh it forces you to smile, to celebrate the small thing that brought you just a little bit of serotonin. The feeling of tension releasing as the human body reacts to the poorly delivered “dad joke”. It brings me pure joy making others smile with my witty comments, and everyone deserves to smile.

Furthermore, I love being able to express myself the way I would like because I have noticed that it surrounds me with other wonderfully eccentric people and has taught me to celebrate everyones differences. I am excited to take on the course this semester to learn to explore literature more as well as learn to express myself through my writing.
