Bruno Rosa

Bruno Rosa is passionate about moving pictures.

He was born May 19, 1984 in the portuguese city of Covilhã, and since early in his life, he showed a particular fascination for movies, and the "life" inside them.

Son of a primary school teacher and a textile worker, he never thought that Movie Directing and Cinematography could be something he could base his life on, so after High School he went to the university of his city to study Biochemistry, presured by the will of his father.

However, due to the desire to know more about the art of Film he dropped out 2 years later to study Communication Design and Audiovisual Production in Castelo Branco School of Arts and his graduation's final work was his first short film "O Ás de Espadas" The Ace of Spades (2010).

The will to learn more made him pursue an intership in Flatlight Films, a prodution company in the far and freezing land of Lapland, Finland.

He then returned to his town's university, but to do a master's degree in Film Studies, that conclued with his latest short film "O Homem que Remava o Barco" The Man who Rowed the Boat (2013).
